2024 Boat Building Workshops

Sawdust, sanded timber, and big dreams in the making—here is a sneak peak into our recent boat building workshop with Orlando.

In December, we ran a two-day workshop at Uno Studios in Alexandria, Sydney, led by our Founder and Principal Designer, Andrew Simpson. Together, we built our Classic Rowboat, a design that blends the timeless charm of a 1940s rowboat with modern, precise wood-cutting techniques.

Orlando, an enthusiastic 12-year-old sailor with a love for the ocean, impressed us all with his focus and skill throughout the build.

Next up, Orlando will customise his Classic Rowboat with an undercoat, paint and the addition of oars and rope.
